Child Health
As a family medical practice, we see a lot of families and their children. Common paedatric presentations that come to the practice include, but are not limited to: - asthma - eczema and other rashes - newborn baby checks as per the blue book - all childhood immunisations In the current pandemic, presentations with fever, and respiratory illness (runny nose, cough, sore thorat, shortness and breath) are advised to either arrange a telephone consult or will be directed to the hospital (via emergency or the respiratory clinic). We advise for you to present with your child regularly, for doctor check ups as per the blue book schedule. With the assistance of our nurse, child immunisations are performed at the practice. We prioritise " walk in " and " on the day "appointments for unwell children. If there is no availability shown online, we encourage you to phone our receptionists directly to discuss. |
Advice on other immunisations not covered under the National Immunisation Program Schedule can also be given by our doctors.
For children who have missed or delayed immunisatons, catch up schedules can be organised.
All vaccinations given are now uploaded onto the Australian Immunisation Record and this can be accessed through myGov.
